At the 2009 Arnold Classic Derek attempts his final lift of 961lbs after previously pulling 906lbs and 939lbs. Derek completes the lift with some hitching involved (which is allowed) and PRs by 49.5 lbs. No suits or briefs were used, just straps. It was a great moment!

515 Deadlift
Me deadlifting 515. Personal record. My lower back was fatigued from squats 3 days ago and a butts n guts class I run, but me being as stubborn as I am went for this anyway. I'd imagine I'd be cleaner if I was fresh. I usually have very good deadlift form. I also use the straps since my grip can't handle much over 455. I know... I've always shrugged and done back work with them, so I have recently started training my grip. Also, been lifting almost 4 years but I just started deadlifts about 5-6 months ago and have come from 275.

Deadlift 215 Kg (474 Lbs) RAW @ 77 (PB)
New Shoes must be working well. A New Personal Record for me - 215 Kg Raw Deadlift at 77 kg (@ 17 yrs) as requested.... 220 Kg next target And I still think I could have put another 5 kgs on... still, was happy with this. And of course... in traditional olympic-lifter fashion, no wraps, straps, belt or suits.. totally raw... although I did use chalk. I would like to know what the raw record is in Britain for deadlift - But i am sticking with Olympic lifting :D

Tuan's Deadlift Day: Traditional Deadlifts RAW (No Belt, Straps...etc), Last Set: 415 LBS for 6 reps
Have me as your personal online trainer at myhitechtrainer.com Tuan here with another vid. This was my deadlift workout for Monday, 12/22/2008. I have been dieting since after Thanks Giving and cut my powerlifting season short for I have some things coming up in March and on for 2009. I got up to 197 to 198 lbs, but now I am around 193 to 194 lbs in this vid. I started at 135 for 15 reps, 205 for 10, 275 for 10, 345 for 8, and here I am finishing up with 415 for 6. Sorry but I did say 425, that was my mistake. Not enough blood in the brain to think at the time. Enjoy. PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING.

Kevin Nee 420 kilo / 925 lbs deadlift (with suit, straps and HITCH)
hey guys! i am soooooo happy about this today because i went in there knowing i was gonna try for a big number but i had made a side bet / joke with a friend of mine about hitting a 420 kilo / 925 lb deadlift. the most i have ever done before was in the gym in phoenix and that was 905 without a suit which just beat out the lift from norways strongest man 2008 where i hit 903 lbs. after taking some time off this year and trying to get my head on straight after the second year in a row for having surgery, i knew it was time to start stepping it up as you can probably tell from watching my recent videos, although i think this will be my last max attempt for quite a while, ill try to let the body heal and do some rep/ conditioning work. the rep scheme went like this after doing 12 sets of muscle snatches: 1. 335 lbs x 3 2. 425 lbs x 3 3. 515 lbs x 2 4. 605 lbs x 2 5. 695 lbs x 1 6. 785 lbs x 1 7. 875 lbs x 1 8. 925 lbs / 420 kilo x miss 9. 925 lbs / 420 kilo x 1 PR!!!!!!!!! after hitting the 875 fairly easily and with no hitch, i knew it was time to try and set a PR, forget a comeback pr of 410 kilo, i wanted a real PR!!!! as i was getting set to try 420 for the first time the radio switched over to about 7 commercials in a row and i started to go ballistic.... which i shouldnt have done because its a waste of energy and i just look like a big baby. the second mistake i made on the first 420 attempt, is i stayed down on the bar wayyyyyyyy too long. it took about 10 seconds to ...

Deadlift 515 x 4
Deadlift (Conventional) 515 x 4 reps at Snap Fitness 24-7 in Marlton, NJ. If you're looking to gain size and strength and are not performing deadlifts, then you either have a physical limitation or you are selling yourself short. I recommend learning this exercise with a trap bar first- it will be safer and easier. I perform the deadlift once per week as my max effort movement (first exercise) during a lower body training session. I use chalk until my final set- then I have to use wrist straps because my grip strength still needs to improve to manage this amount of weight.
